Why not pushing notifications for ios?

It’s very good

App is ok but the design is flawed. When you are in a call and hit keypad to enter digits, the “hide” button goes up to underneath the time shown in the top left corner. It’s nearly impossible to hit the “hide” button correctly to hide the keypad to go back to the main call screen!

There is zero reliability with Skype Mobile. I work for a major corporation and can’t be reached by Skype Business Mobile; my colleagues have confirmed the same experience. It’s sad. We’re actually legally obligated to be able to be reached by phone during business hours too. I would be embarrassed if I was a developer for Skype Business.

Is there a way to share images on here. This app feels very outdated compared to the regular Skype app.

Still reasonably impossible to get macOS to work with Skype for business. problems are in logging in - connection not possible for past 2+ years. forced to use iPhone to everything on the small screen disappointing

Takes forever to log on to my business meetings so I always end up joining in as guest.

The app is great when it works but 3/5 days when I try to sign it, it’s says it’s having issues and does not allow me to sign in. Extremely frustrating as I need this app for work. I updated it just today and it won’t let me sign it, I get the same error message as always “Skype is experiencing issues at this time, please try again later”. So annoying.

And why do they have two???? A good dev team would not have let this continue

Absolutely terrible. Stay away. My IT department says that they’ve never seen an app with a higher failure rate. Truly a disappointment that as well respected of a company Microsoft is, they can’t dedicate some manpower to fix this joke of an app. Guess they are too focused on teams.

After update application to version 6.29.1 push notifications stop coming. It is related ?

Signing in takes ages, losing previous conversations

All messages sent to the same contact are separate convos so I cannot track a message thread easily. Most recently, I cannot see when new messages come in: they don’t even register in the app. Do not receive alerts, even though alerts are on. Really dysfunctional and, at least for me, pointless app.

Would like the iPad version to be able to splitscreen. Dark mode would also be nice.

Only gets some small percentage of total messages. Useless for most purposes.

I only get notified of messages/calls once I unlock the mobile device

Needed a short notice chat conduit, and Skype came through. The sound quality was clear and uninterrupted, while gain online access was simplistic. Great benefit to my making contact with my staff.

Have to use this for work. It is so buggy it is unreal. Drops clients all the time which is very embarrassing and annoying.

My company uses this app for meetings, and it’s always not logging in or having issue that I had to uninstall and Unregister and reinstall and reregister every few weeks!!!

This is a very great app. Meeting Organiser and presentation very great. Use less data. Sound quality super. I love this app.

Over the last 5 years, this app has proved to be unreliable to have conversations or discussion. Chat messages disappear if you switch to another application. They also do not sync with desktop. I dread having to use Skype for Business.

Just as the title indicates. It should also sync with desktop as well.

It has been observed lately that when I have joined meeting via skype for business I cannot unmute myself when I switch from wifi to cellular . There are couple of times when I have tried to switch to cellular like avoiding the hotel wifi and to come out of mute it has not worked.

I am normally hesitant to install business applications, but I am truly thrilled I did it. I am constantly in meetings and Skype has made it so easy for me to remember and join them. The part that has not worked well for me is messaging users

If ever there was a category of app that needs split screen and more importantly slide over, this is it but yet Microsoft resists to add this. Oh … and notifications don’t always arrive. This is disappointing for a Microsoft product.

The audio and visual was better than normal Skype. It was quick and easy. Due to Covid and all of the restrictions the Skype meeting is definitely worth looking into and using.

I have been using the app for months and just one day it stopped working for me. It keeps saying server is busy or try again later. I really like the app when it decides to work. But now it just makes me angry that it has such a high rating and the app works for some but not all.

As of recent, I am left unable to use the app as the iOS Skype for business endpoint is offline.

The app is fine when it works, but the really annoying part is if you miss an IM. You can preview the message up to a certain character count, and if you click to go to the message, the message doesn't exist. It's completely gone. And because you clicked on it, now you didn't "miss" the message, so you don't get the message sent to your email address. It's just completely gone. Royal PITA. Should be standard functionality.

How can it be temporary when it’s ALL THE TIME! This is the most unreliable app I’ve ever used. Thank the lord they’re discontinuing it.

Skype for business is the best very clear

I really wish that Microsoft would not be retiring Skype and transitioning to Teams. I just find that Skype is more professional looking, reliable, and intuitive. I feel that Teams is the watered down version of Skype. Please keep Skype!!!

Discontinue this already

Getting super frustrated this worked flawlessly for 4 months and then suddenly with no change in device, update or anything, it doesn’t connect calls or drops them as soon as I click answer. My internet connection is perfect. Really frustrating and unreliable.

Both reps were very pleasant and knowledgeable They resolved my issue at first call. I appreciate the customer service and expertise Thank you again.

After using Skype on laptop for a while, When I open the app on mobile I will start getting all the pings which i received from morning as missed pings almost few hundred which annoying. I can’t use the app for few mins until all those message notifications are done. When In call with some one if some one start sharing screen if I logged to mobile also i will get a incoming call on mobile.

This feels like some computer you dust off and give to the new intern. He’s stuck working on a computer that barely functions and is asked to keep up. I absolutely hate that I have to use this at work - the UI is awful, nothing is where you’d think it should be, calls drop often, all around doesn’t feel like something I should need to use in 2021. The developers seemingly set out to make an app that captures the feel of working with old, obsolete equipment - the developers succeeded!

Skype Business works great on my iPhone, whether on WiFi or cellular service.

I am using iPhone 12 pro max and i used skype business for meetings. But problem is that during meeting wi-fi is disconnected some times. And i have to connect it manually. This issue is appearing only when im using skype business.

This application seems to work when it wants to. Some times the audio is terrible, often times the camera is not working. Because of the pandemic we frequently use video chats for interactions and Skype for business doesn’t seem to be the best tool.

We were required to use Skype and it was a tough beginning. A lot of my team members do not use the video and stick with the audio only. The more we use it, the better we all get at sharing screens and working from multiple devices. I will be excited to see how it continues to improve and work as some of us head back into the office. I personally love that I can go from my phone, to my tablet, to my laptop or my desktop fairly seamlessly. This has made life truly mobile.

Every once in a while we will get somebody who joins who doesn’t have the best quality of the audio. Not sure if it’s because of the connectivity. But in general it works well you can see who’s talking. Administrator can mute everybody which makes it nice so you don’t have a bunch of background noise

It is impossible to have multiple active messaging threads running at once. I get pop up notifications with a preview when a new message comes in, but when I go to the app and open the thread, the message isn’t there. Messaging only works properly if you keep the thread open. Threads clear themselves when you move away from them. Useless.
